Learning Outcomes and their Importance to the Quality of University Outcomes

Yesterday, Tuesday, 21.06.2022, the Research Center held an international workshop on the Google Meet platform entitled “Learning outcomes and their importance to the quality of university outcomes,” the workshop will continue for 3 days and each session will be for 3 hours presented by Dr. Mubarak Al-Qahtani from King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The session was conducted by Dr. Nawar Al-Saadi, Director of the Research Center at our university, and a large number of academic figures and specialists from different Arab and Iraqi universities attended.

 
The following topic was discussed:

Dr. Mubarak began his speech by defining the objectives of the educational program and identifying the learning outcomes. Therefore, modern studies now seek to focus on the student more than the teacher.  

Education outcomes are defined by the mission of the university, then the college, and the mission of the program.


Then Dr. Mubarak indicated that the importance of learning outcomes lies in the following stages:

– The level of learners.
– The level of educational institutions.
– The national level.
– The global level.  


The speaker concluded his speech on how to design learning outcomes, starting with the lecture outcomes, then the course outcomes, then learning the program and ending with the institution’s learning outcomes.


There were scientific interventions on the subject by the professors participating in the session, which ended with a fruitful scientific dialogue.
