A delegation from Cihan University – Duhok, led by Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, the University’s President, took part in the Jordanian-Kurdistan Higher Education Forum held at the University of Dohuk on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
The forum attracted a significant gathering of academic personalities and university presidents from across the Duhok Governorate. A key highlight of the event was the signing of a memorandum of scientific cooperation between Cihan University – Duhok and a consortium of universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This memorandum aims to bolster scientific and cultural exchange initiatives among universities, encompassing the exchange of expertise, faculty, and students.
The forum served as a pivotal platform for comprehensive presentations from all universities in Duhok, providing insights into their educational programs, scientific research endeavors, and student engagements. Moreover, a dedicated session shed light on the landscape of higher education in Jordan, offering attendees a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the sector.
As the forum drew to a close, tokens of appreciation and commemorative shields were exchanged among the participating university presidents, symbolizing mutual esteem and collaboration in the pursuit of advancing and nurturing higher education within the region.
