On the occasion of World Book Day, the Consulting & Research Centre at Cihan University – Duhok Invites you to attend and participate in the “Second Annual Book Fair #ABF24”, scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at the Research Center Hall of Cihan University – Dohuk.
🎙️A brief overview of the amazing speakers:
First speaking: Dr. Ahmad AbdulKareem Shaban
He is an Assistant Professor who obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Semiotics from Damascus University, Syria, and completed his Ph.D. in Semiotics, Media, and Communication Sciences at the University of Malaga, Spain. He has a rich academic background, having taught at universities in Syria and Lebanon, where he supervised numerous master’s theses in fields such as Media, Linguistics, and Translation. Dr. Shaban’s research interests span across linguistics, translation, and media studies. Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor at Cihan University-Duhok in Iraq, contributing to the field of General Education.
Second speaker: Dr. Mervan Yousif Huseyin
Doctorate in Microbiology from the University of Damascus. He has been working in teaching and educational and academic activity for more than 15 years. He has published research in his scientific specialty in international journals. He published many intellectual, scientific and cultural articles in Arab magazines… He has two printed books, which are two collections of short stories, the first entitled (Zeeb wa Anin Afaf) and the second entitled (damir fi Ijazah Maftuha) Al-Dar Al-Shamiya Publications – Istanbul.
Third speaker: Mr. Rayan Sadeeq Ahmad
Director and Teaching Assistant of Medical Laboratories at Cihan University – Duhok, Medical Author (Four Medical Books), Bachelor Degree of Medical Laboratory Technology Department, College of Health Science, Cihan University – Duhok 2021-2022, Author of (First Aids) & (Laboratory and Interpretation of Medical Tests) book, which will be the first book in the field of medical laboratories throughout Kurdistan, Arab countries and the all of the Middle East, Medical Trainer (First Aids – Medical Lab’s).
Fourth speaker: Sidra Ahmed Saleem
Sidra Ahmed Saleem is a diligent student enrolled at Cihan – Duhok University, specializing in Psychology at the third stage of her academic journey. She harbors numerous ambitions, with a central focus on contributing positively to society. One of her paramount objectives is to make a significant difference in the lives of others, particularly in empowering and aiding women facing various challenges. Sidra aspires to leverage her education and skills to advocate for women’s rights and facilitate their progress towards a brighter future.
Fifth speaker: Sarwar Faisal Fatah
A third-year student enrolled in the Department of Educational Psychology at Cihan University, Sarwar has shown a remarkable dedication to understanding and promoting youth development. They have actively participated in numerous seminars and workshops focusing on the growth and empowerment of young people within various organizations and independent youth groups (NGOs). Their involvement in these events reflects not only their academic commitment but also their genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young individuals.
Sixth speaker: Safar Ayoub Mustafa
A student at Cihan University – Duhok, is studying educational psychology. He founded the Productive Youth Organization and has completed multiple courses in youth and cultural development. Safar holds three graduate certificates from institutions including the College of Islamic Sharia and the Institute of Islamic Sciences. He is also an author of thirteen books on various topics such as learning Persian, medical editing, and the intersection of faith, science, and philosophy.
Seventh speaker: Choli Shaban Ahmed
He is a fourth-year student in the Department of Business Administration, Choli is a diligent and dedicated student, committed to his studies and self-improvement. In addition to mastering academic subjects in the field of Business Administration, he stands out for his involvement in various academic events such as seminars and conferences. He shows a genuine interest in literature and reading, reflecting the diversity of his interests and his desire to explore new areas beyond his academic studies. These qualities reflect his cultured and proactive personality, making him a valuable addition to both the academic and cultural community.
Eighth speaker: Walat Ahmed Oramary
Walat, a first-year student at Cihan University – Dohuk majoring in Computer Science, is deeply intrigued by a multitude of scientific topics. Her interests lie in voracious reading and thorough examination of diverse subjects.
