On Sunday, May 5, 2024, the “Jordanian-Kurdistan Higher Education Forum” convened in Erbil, with the esteemed presence of Mr. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and a delegation from Cihan University – Duhok led by Prof. Dr. Zeravan Abdulmuhsen Asaad, President of the University.
The highlight of the forum was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kingdom of Jordan and the Ministry of Higher Education in the Kurdistan Region. This agreement aims to bolster cooperation and facilitate academic exchange between the two nations in the realm of higher education.
Throughout the forum, various discussion sessions delved into significant topics including accreditation and quality assurance in higher education, entrepreneurship, scientific innovation, and the transformative role of modern technologies like information technology and artificial intelligence in advancing educational systems and shaping a promising future for universities.
